To ‘visit’ or ‘pay respect’…

Well, it has been 1 year since Dad’s best friend – Uncle Chong, passed away.
Due to heart attack.

He knew something was wrong when he felt the pain, headed over to GP twice but that GP dismissed it, thinking that it’s nothing serious… but 2 days past and then he was gone. I often wonder what was that GP thinking, easily dismiss the probability that it could be a warning sign.

but still, nothing could be done now, right?
and it would prove pointless to sue that GP, since he didn’t give the wrong medicines, just dismiss a warning sign that cause death to a good man.

a good man, who had to leave behind his wife and 2 young kids, age 5 and 8.
a tough year for his family, no one knew he would leave so early…

i remembered everyone else crying and Dad too…
even thou there’s a saying, “guys bleed but don’t cry” (direct translation from the chinese idioms)
but if you have to witness your best friend leaving this world, who’s also your to-be-business-partner, who’s your fishing kaki… i believe you would feel the same as well.

for i know, Uncle Chong has treated Dad like family, so does his extended family in Thailand.
every year, my family spends CNY in BKK and they are always there to welcome us, treat us like family…

so much better than i could say about my Dad’s side, since they are mostly money-minded and fighting for what granny and grandpa have left behind… *bah to them*

anyway…
back to topic.

gotta head over with them for ‘prayer’ or ‘pay respect’…
just to be there and help out a little, i guess.
