Ratatouille” is about a lovable rat – Remy – who constantly risks his life in an expensive French restaurant because of his love for good food, as well as a burning desire to become a gourmet chef. Obviously, this is rather far-fetched for a rat but opportunity knocks when a young boy, who desperately needs to keep his job at the restaurant despite not being able to cook to save his life, makes Remy a partner. The two of them learn to avoid the insane head chef, bring the rest of Remy’s family up to his culinary standards, win the boy a girlfriend, and of course, produce the finest ratatouille in all of France!

Piggy and i caught Ratatouille at GV @ Plaza Sing….
After picking up my VeCm modem at Starhub Redemption @ Killney.

Pixar‘s movies have always been enjoyable, including this new animation film.

Pun intended on title? =P

And yes, Ratatouille is the name of a certain dish.
You could refer to this page, for exact recipe.

It’s heartwarming, making one believe that anyone could cook if he/she wants…

A motivation for one to do what his/her heart desire.

I’m not sure if you guys see it my way, but i believe it’s a good value for the kids to learn, letting them dream the impossible and trying to fulfill it on their own / with help.

Truly enjoyed this show, especially the parts where you see Gusteau floating around, talking to Remy, rats getting ‘clean’ or ‘steam’ or ‘wash’ in groups and ‘rat-napping’.

Lol, enough spoilers for now.

Story: 4/5
Animation: 4.5/5
Funny: Definitely with a slight ‘DOH!’ factor

Overall: 4/5

I would recommend it to anyone who loves animation and family movies 🙂
It’s worthy of a weekend tix, in my opinion.

Although i only paid S$1.30 for both tix 😛
P.S: Collected my GV card, it’s shaped like a popcorn!
