A ‘First’ for 2009

I was never a fan for theatrical shows, be it local or foreign production, just didn’t seem to be able to muscle enough enthusiasm and time to watch them…

But it never occur to me, that i would watch a Chinese musical, much less a show derived from a 60s movie and a tribute to an old time elderly but amazing singer.

With much thanks to my colleagues for ‘psycho-ing’ and dragging me…
I caught Wild Wild Rose with them, at the Victoria Theatre πŸ™‚

Coming from someone who’d rather watch reruns to musicals, it’s really good, especially the singing and dancing…
It was amazing and funny, not forgetting our local artist, Thomas Ong, starring as the lead with Perry Chiu, HK artist who can dance, act and sing…. *salute*

Guess after having watching Avenue Q, in Nov 2008…
It really made me curious enough to want to watch the others… eg. Cats, Ms Saigon, Phantom of the Opera etc.
Perhaps i’ll add mandarin and all genres to the ‘wanna watch’ list πŸ™‚

Aside from the amazing show…
Our group met an extremely good looking and cute artist… and he is really friendly, heh.
That certainly helped made the night a whole load better… *winks*

Btw, if you would like to catch the musical…
There still 2 days to go, it’d end on 4th Jan πŸ™‚
