Coming Sunday, would be Mother’s Day…
Knowing that most restaurants would be pack to the brim and I would be out with my gal friend on Sat, I suggested to my oldies, to celebrate slightly earlier.
With DD joining us…
After much ‘research’ on hungrygowhere, didn’t settled for mom’s fav korean buffet restaurant at Katong Village (since they only serve dinner) but Gaia Korean restaurant at Suntec Tower 2 instead.
Food wise, not extensive on choices for menu but the quality on certain items were really good.
Especially the grilled meats, fresh and yummy, not forgetting the side dishes… which i wouldn’t mind having it again soon 😛
As for the ox bone soup, it was rather bland. Seafood pancake, it was okay, not fantastic.
Service wise, a little disappointing.
A little slow and inattentive, even while it just opened.
Price wise, a little steep but acceptable.
For the quantity we ordered (2 grilled meats, 1 set meal, seafood pancake and ox bone soup), it came up to S$130 for 4 person.
Well it didn’t ‘WOW’ my taste buds or mom’s but I wouldn’t mind going back for their grilled meats on special occasions. Hopefully service would improve.
Probably check out Mom’s fav. korean buffet place soon…
After the hearty lunch, the oldies left for office…
DD & I took our time to check out the new shops at Millenia Walk (Parco), headed over to Marina Bay Double Helix bridge and Marina Sands. (Photos and post on Double Helix bridge & Marina Sands on coming posts)
We made our way to Esplanade, after checking out the new places to rest & relax…
Ended up chilling at Max Brenner, with yummy choc fondue and hot choc drinks.
Food and service wise, good 🙂
But i wouldn’t go back so soon, as it’s thick enough to satisfy my choc cravings for a month or more.
Price wise, decently priced.
Just like any of the cafes (eg. TCC).
Good food and great company… and now, time to exercise the excess food intake away 😛
