Out of the three newly launched Sony Ericsson phones, Xperia Arc, Neo and Play…
Xperia Neo would suit the growing number of photography enthusiasts.

Although it resembles the Vivaz, it’s running on the latest Android OS (Gingerbread) and packs a whole load more…

Comes with multi-touch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA® Engine and award-winning Exmor™ R, allowing amazing crystal clear photos, good contrast and higher quality photos in low light conditions (tried and tested for 10mins, gorgeous photos… ^^v). Oh and built in HDMI, which allows you to showcase your photos and videos on any HD TV, just by plugging it in.

Product Specs:

  • Dimensions: 116 x 57 x 13 mm
  • Weight: 126 grams
  • Phone memory: 320 MB
  • Memory card support: microSD, up to 32 GB
  • Memory card included: 8GB microSD
  • Operating system:  Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
  • Processor: 1 GHz Snapdragon
  • Graphics: Sony Mobile Bravia engine
  • Display: 3.7″ multi touch screen with scratch resistant surface
  • Camera: Front-facing VGA and Back 8.1 megapixel with LED flash at f/2.4 aperture, including face detection and touch focus, with 720p video recording at 30fps.
  • Battery Life: up to 7 hours talktime
  • Available in: Blue Gradient, Silver and Red

Some photos i snapped, from Sony Ericsson Xperia Event:

– crystal clear images and simple camera to video view change.

– curved for comfort and glossy finishing (didn’t managed a shot for the back)

– brighter and nicer contrast for low light situations, eg. it adjusted to bring out the light and shadow for this.

For a current android user and photo enthusiast, it would be easy to switch over in a matter of minutes. Plus it will be super handy and convenient for dinner meetups, pubbing / clubbing sessions, lazy to bring out DSLR moments and random cam whoring session (yes, i do do that when super bored).

If there’s a chance, i would like to a review on it, see how far i can push its camera and video abilities 🙂

Of course, not forgetting the release dates…

It will be available from Q2 of 2011.
Which means between April to July.

Price wise: TBA (as of post published)
