Filler: First Try with Lightroom 3

Heh, I like the feel of Lightroom 3, simply because it’s not as complex as Photoshop. Well, for a die-hard Picasa user (cos I’m too baffled by Photoshop and lazy enough to leave it to presets on Picasa), it’s quite an interesting and easy switchover. That being said, I’ve yet to read up the manual or guide book. *looks sleepily at the Lightroom 2 guide from library* Just fooling around with the presets, available functions… not too bad for a first try, i feel. the only thing that left me going ‘Huh?’ is that there’s no ‘SAVE’ button… That really require some getting used to. Well, always nice to pick up something new… heh! Hopefully I’ll get better after reading…

Backlog: DD’s Bday Celebration

Well, my bf and i are both August babies… Just days apart. So he celebrated mine, by spending time, treating me to Jap cuisine… even though he was / still is swamped with work. And i too, find ways to surprise him 🙂 Like the customized Jelly Hearts cake (5×5 squares), photos below. Specially for him, in two flavors. Lychee and Original, heh. Well it was worth the cost, just that the cake portion was a little too much for two (sufficient for 8pax)… especially after a filling meal at Seoul Garden and while singing in Kbox 🙂 Thanks to the helpful and understanding bakers at Jelly Hearts, for creating this yummy treat. And I’m glad he enjoyed it… *grinz…

Thoughts: Amused by Spam

I don’t know if i should be elated, amused or puzzled by the no. of spams for some Indonesian bank. Not that I’ve anything against the lovely country or the bank but the no. of annoying yet amusing spams does make me wanna go “HUH? Hmm…”. Truthfully, I’ve seen better spamming tactics in the last couple of years, even the occasional post comments are more creative and trustworthy at times and not overly pushy but the recent ones, especially those that were on my tag box sure hit a new low. For example: – threatening to get website owners banned if their spam comments are not published or deleted – copy and pasted links with no conversations or barely bothered…

Thoughts: Presidential Election

Another ‘FIRST’ in my 28 years and I must say, it’s less exciting than I thought it would be 😉 That is, if you compare it with the more hyped and more intensely discussed General Election, which I had to miss, since we were away on a trip. Well, in less than 5 mins… Names checked, cards provided, boxes checked and we are outta the polling area. Heh, efficient and organized polling staff and voters who already know who they want as President. Well I did my part, have you? 🙂

New: Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman™

As received from Sony Ericsson, it has launched and added another Walkman phone to its series. Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman™, runs on the latest Android software (Gingerbread 2.3) with unique Facebook™ integration for connection with friends and instant music and media sharing (the usual). It will be available in Singapore from Q4 2011. Anyway, technical specs can be found on Sony Ericsson’s press release page –> HERE. ***** Ooo pretty white phone… 😀 I’m guessing it’ll be around S$400 – $500, since it’s a 5mp phone on Android. But it’ll be best to wait for the most accurate pricing, should be out around Nov – Dec? 🙂 ***** Updates (as of 30th Sept 2011): – Sony Ericsson Live with…
