For the first time, Army Open House 2012 will be held in the heart of Singapore, at the F1 Pit.
Happening this weekend, as a grand celebration of 45 years of National Service, with a meaningful tagline:
“From Fathers to Sons”
To make it a fun filled visual and learning experience while bring people closer and a better understanding of our military.
I was asked by an officer, if it was my first time attending Army Open House…
Yes, a brand new set of experience, which was welcoming and fun 🙂
Through AOH2012, we experienced a visual history of NS, changes to its uniforms / guns / field pack / food / medals to its latest military use vehicles and technology, from all the physical displays available.
Definitely an eye opening experience, for those who has yet to experience army life (eg. kids and students) or those who are curious about what goes on in the army (eg. foreigners, girlfriends and wives).
Here are some photo highlights from our sneak peek on Tuesday (taken with test camera, Leica V-Lux 3):
Performance by the Red Lions

Battle rides! (I tried the Bronco & Light Strike! hehehee!)
A FCU ride around Marina Bay (From Genghui)
More to see and do this weekend…
e.g. combat zone – a feel of the rifles & wall climbing, kidz boot camp and tech zones.
More photos to come, after editing and when i head down for more photos 😛
Do take the public transport (CCL MRT), as parking would likely be limited in that area.
Nearest station – Promenade CCL MRT station.
Many thanks to PR team for inviting and making it a wonderful experience!
