News: Dell Exclusive Store, redesigned and bringing you a brand new experience

May 16, 2013 – Dell today reopened the Dell Exclusive Store at Funan DigitaLife Mall, following an intensive make-over to deliver a new, refreshed concept store that sports simpler, contemporary yet bolder interior designs.

Aimed at creating a more consistent global brand and shopping experience for its customers, the new look takes on a distinctive customer-centric approach, complete with experience suites that allow customers to experience technology as they would in real life. The Funan store is the first Dell Exclusive Store in the world to adopt the company’s new global retail brand guidelines.

“Along with our purpose to deliver innovative products and give customers both performance and value in a single package, Dell also places high priority in providing a fulfilling product purchase experience for our customers,” said Chue Chee Wei, managing director for Dell’s Commercial Business, Singapore and Malaysia. “Dell’s new store design brings a great shopping experience to our customers, whether you have a specific product in mind, or just casually browsing.”

The Dell Exclusive Store measures 1356 square feet in floor space at Funan, is open from 11am to 9pm daily.

Whenever I received Dell’s press releases, I can’t help but remember doing the case study on it, during my business cert / schooling days.

Focusing on its direct sales business module, which has been one of the most successful direct sale businesses in the world, it was rather intriguing to know how they managed it and keep it efficient and low cost.

I was surprised when first received news of its exclusive store opening at Funan Digital IT Mall, it didn’t occurred to me there’s one in Singapore or perhaps my lack of tech shop browsing is extreme these days.
But it goes to show, businesses will and have to grow with time, changes and needs from customers, to provide a better and more direct service experience for existing and new customers.
