News: NParks – 50years of Greening Singapore

This year, 2013, marks 50 years of greening for Singapore!

The City in a Garden that you enjoy today, with its vibrant parks, lush tree-lined roads, and thriving biodiversity is the result of the dedication and commitment of many people to enhance the quality of our living spaces.

And in commemoration to 50 years of Greening Singapore and National Day 2013, NParks produced a music video to reach out to more Singaporeans, to enjoy and appreciate our City in a Garden.

The song was specially composed and sung by local singer-songwriter, Lorraine Tan, with special appearance by popular YouTube personalities Dr Jiajia & Big Bro, Ch 8 TV actress Paige Chua, as well as otters and hornbills found here in Singapore.

If you would like to learn more and understand the various work done, throughout the years for a greener Singapore…

Please watch ‘Nature of a City’, a documentary produced by Channel News Asia.
It’ll be showing on Channel News Asia, 11th August 2013 at 8.00pm.
