News: Sony Expands Digital Imaging Offerings with Alpha 3000 and NEX 5T

The Sony Alpha 3000 and NEX 5T are part of Sony’s latest digital imaging offerings, which are rather tempting.
They were part of the same press release with PlayMemories App service, which was shared earlier.

Main features:

  • Large APS-C Exmor™ sensor with 20.1 effective megapixels for pro-quality pictures and Full HD video

  • Frame scenes accurately through the electronic Tru-FinderTM

  • Pick from 18 interchangeable E-mount lenses for limitless creative possibilities

  • Easy to hold with comfortable and secure new grip

For photographers looking for a camera that has it all, they need not look further with the Alpha 3000. The 3000 comes with the picture quality, manual controls and artistic possibilities of a DSLR in an easy to use camera with interchangeable lenses.

Inside the 3000 is a large 20.1-megapixel Exmor™ APS HD CMOS sensor. The large sensor boosts sensitivity, which helps grab more light and cut image noise while delivering pristine pictures despite dark interior lightings. Framing scenes are also a pleasure with its electronic Tru-FinderTM with a generous 100% field coverage. The extra information displayed on the electronic viewfinder allows users to preview tweaks to exposure and white balance settings instantly, and lets them compose with even greater confidence.

Sony NEX-5T

The new NEX-5T from Sony packs pro-quality pictures and wireless freedom into a power packed, pocket-sized camera with the limitless creativity of interchangeable lenses. In addition to being Wi-Fi enabled, the NEX-5T is the first interchangeable lens E-mount camera from Sony with NFC. This gives users the extra convenience of One-touch wireless connection with Android smartphones and tablets for easy sharing of images, and even the ability to control their camera remotely.

Details and photos as shared by Sony Singapore and PR team.

My apologies for the slightly late sharing on these two digital products…

Needed to space out the product sharing a little, since I pretty much flooded my site with last week’s COMEX flyers.
Thankfully I still have a couple more weeks before product availability in Singapore.

Anyway, I’m always glad to see more consumer products from Sony.
More toys = more competition and innovation from various product owners.

Hmm… well…

Of all the main DSLR brands available in the market, the only one I’ve not yet tried is the Sony DSLR series.
Hope there’s a chance to test it.
