News: Sony Plays Cupid with Interactive One-touch Microsite

19 September 2013 Sony is making it easier for consumers to enjoy the same content across different devices via Near Field Communication (NFC) and has now developed an interactive microsite to highlight how it brings one-touch convenience to everyday life.

Smartphones are rapidly becoming the centre of our digital world, with personal music, videos, photos and much more being stored in them. And with the need for today’s society to stay connected, imagine the potential it brings when people are able to share their favourite songs or movies with each other, with just a single tap.

To understand more about One Touch, NFC tech and the various Sony gadgets (e.g. Xperia Tablets, Portable Wireless Speakers, Xperia Smartphones… etc), you can read up on them when you scroll through the main page.

To showcase the connectivity between its wide range of NFC-enabled devices, Sony has created an innovative and interactive movie game where visitors can define the courtship between a young couple based on the songs they select using a specially developed YouTube API.

– screen that will be shown after clicking ‘Play Game’ button

With five different endings each for the boy and girl, visitors can have fun guessing whether hit tunes such as One Direction’s “Best Song Ever” or “Suit & Tie” by Justin Timberlake will make or break the relationship.

Whether it sizzles or fizzles out, it’s all dependent on you and what your song choice 🙂

Here’s mine, which is rather unexpected and … unusual.

Song picked (linked to Youtube): Luther Vandross – Here and Now

And the result: ‘Unexpected Comedy!’

Unusual, right?
Not the kind of result I was expecting from a love song.

Keen to try or play the game and see the results?
