Earlier this month, Sony announced a couple of interesting consumer products / gadgets, that got quite a handful of techies going “OMG / Shut up and take my money!”.
And they are….
Cyber-shot™ DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 🙂
The Cyber-shot™ DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 introduce a brand new concept in digital imaging.
Turning your smartphone into a power-packed specialist camera they are the perfect partner for smartphones including the new Xperia™ Z1.
It’s a dream come true for anyone who loves their smartphone, but wants the photo quality that only a dedicated camera can deliver (hmm, me). And whilst they look like lenses, the DSC-QX100 and DSC-QX10 are complete cameras in their own right.
Compatible with any iOS and Android smartphones, connection to your phone is made via Wi-Fi and the latest version of Sony’s PlayMemories Mobile application. Linkage is even simpler for NFC smartphone owners, with easy one-touch connection made without any complicated settings.

And the video that got many, including me, going – “OMG / Shut up and take my money!”:
Both lenses are not available yet, in Singapore.
My guess would be late Nov to early Dec, in time for the Christmas.
Based on my rough conversion of the Sony US pricing, my guess on pricing would probably be around S$400 to S$750.
I’ll update again when more details are available.
Pardon my late sharing, just too much to tech this month.
Heh. Can’t wait for it to be here to try 🙂
