Bare Your Sole, Habitat for Humanity Singapore’s annual barefoot walkathon, is back once again to raise funds and awareness for the less fortunate in Singapore who struggle with poverty on a daily basis. This year’s edition is set to take place at OCBC Square on September 10th, at 7:30am.
This year marks the celebration of the programme’s 10th anniversary, which commemorates the heartfelt support and achievements of the community. Over S$350,000 was raised from last year’s edition of Bare Your Sole, where more than 6,000 participants turned up to show their support.
Funds raised from the 2.5km and 5km charity walkathon will go towards Project HomeWorks, a local initiative that aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly, the sick and people with disabilities living in poor conditions across the island.
Aside from the walkathon, Bare Your Sole 2016 will feature a host of fun activities for the whole family while learning more about the work that Habitat for Humanity Singapore does, both locally and abroad.
