It’s the finale for this year’s National Family Celebration campaign and it’s happening this weekend, at Bishan Park.
Do bring your family along to join in and have fun.

As cheesy and silly it may seem to be for many, sometimes we really need such events and campaigns to remind us to spend more time with family members. Esp. with so much projects to hand in, overtime to do and commitments to work and friends, we do tend to neglect our families and our bond with them.

So, give them a little of your time.
Spend a few hours with them, be it at this event or going for a movie or having a meal.

Thanks to Kris of 24seven Communications, I was able to attend Chris Ling’s Photography Workshop, with Geng Hui (Shifu) and Amanda, last Friday… To learn, hear and experience what goes on in a professional photographer’s wedding studio.

He shared with us how it all started, his love for photography, his first job and its experiences, his chance to switch over to wedding photography and the clients he met (and the no. of brides that cried because of him, total – 4) =)

And through the FAQ session (which the rest asked and I quietly listened), I learnt that there’s no right and wrong to how a shot should be, it’s good to stop and compose the shot first, not do multiple shots (when it’s not for a sport event or runway) and wedding photography is a tough line to be in…

After which, a guided tour around the studio…

Managed to keep the ‘compose your shot’ in mind while doing KTM and Bt Timah Railway, hopefully it’ll stick for good =P

And well, i’ll be away in KL for this weekend, 3d2n to be exact.
Hopefully attending the Malaysia Youth Festival, happening at Putra WTC, and not dragged around town, doing mindless shopping with parents.

I don’t see what else i need to get, other than tibits to fatten DD
Just hope to cover more uncommon sights on KL this time.

Pretty simple layout, definitely not as confusing as Ion or Orchard Central and although not all the shops are opened / ready, they are all clearly indicated and within affordable range. Definitely my type of hang out place

And in case you are wondering which level is HMV (after moving from Heeren), it’s on the 4th floor…
Music range, isn’t as extensive as it used to be but it’s cozier now, including a game area to try out the Wii and PSP before one decide to make purchase.

And…

Finally had chance to try out Hand Burger, the new restaurant / food joint, that serves… burgers! *doh*

Since Chillycraps and I were at 313@Somerset, we met up with Nicole after her haircut and xmas shopping session and dropped by Hand Burger’s branch at B2. We ordered their Sliders set (afternoon tea set) aka the bite-size burgers.

Well, i love the concept (store layout), menu (interesting design) and food (yummy burgers!)!
Only thing i don’t get, is the heavy utensils (kinda too heavy, not suitable for clumsy old me) and it just doesn’t seem to cut right through the burger, even though it looks sharp.  But aside from that, i would like to try it again soon, esp. the regular size burgers and salads… *drools*

When someone is described as living with HIV, they have the HIV virus in their body. A person is considered to have developed AIDS when the immune system is so weak it can no longer fight off a range of diseases with which it would normally cope.

It may seem to be just a yearly event, of wearing red ribbons and donations…

But it’s main purpose works as a reminder to all and to educate people to be safe (e.g. less or no casual sex, using protection and getting themselves tested to protect their family) and that this disease can be spread, not only through infected blood and bodily fluids through sexual acts but it can be spread through breast milk from infected mothers to their babies.

And it doesn’t spread through normal contact (e.g a hug or touch) or airborne.
Let us not shun them, as they might be someone close to us or our friends and it’s bad enough to have a disease that attacks the immune system and currently has no cure (only drugs to prolong life).
