Making its debut soon, is Digital Nights 2010.

It’s a 10 day event, which will showcase some of the world renowned French and European artists in digital arts field, presenting their works in interactive new media and digital arts.

Launch night will be on 16th September 2010, should be for sponsors, press (print and social media), artists and other invitees…. *insert slight envy*

Official opening for public is from 17th – 26th September 2010.
Locations would be Singapore Art Museum, along Orchard Road and Sculpture Square.

It’ll be a good photography opportunity, mainly for outdoor exhibits, not sure if it’s allowed for indoor ones.

Check it out if you have the time, i know i would.

Sigh, i wish i could go for all the exhibitions but i’ll be away (overseas) and busy (friend’s wedding)  for both weekends… Guess i’ll have to try to squeeze time during the weekdays.

The above (Bluetooth Dongle) is my only buy for this year’s Comex….
At S$5.00 per piece (from the discount booth), it’s decent and would be useful to test voice data. Not putting too much expectations on it, so if it last me more than a week or so, i’ll be happy

I was looking forward to buying a solar charger from Comex but sadly, the salesperson or team at that booth, seemed somewhat clueless with their offers / promotions even though it’s stated on their leaflet and tried to smoke thru, didn’t sense any apologetic feel from them. So… didn’t get it in the end.

Heh, got this during lunch time while at Thomson Plaza.
I’ve been wanting to get one since last week and didn’t managed to get one during bday lunch outing with the team.
And didn’t manage to get one during Saturday, while out with DD.

And since our dear colleague decided and drove us to T.Plaza, went ahead to get it
Not forgetting getting something for DD.

Few more days to the start of…

We made it in time to queue (short queue, around 20mins. lunch starts at 12), for the first seating for Saturday.

To finish a buffet in 60mins (for lunch, 80mins for dinner), it did seemed quite a rush.

But we managed to try most items available that day, excluding fondue & some of the desserts.

Bill came up to a total of S$37.20, after tax.

So it works out to S$18.60 per pax (after tax, lunch), which i find is quite decent. That is,  if you don’t mind having a timer counting down on your table.

Personal thoughts:
I quite like the food served, mains and desserts, esp. the pumpkin soup and curry rice. As for desserts, it would be nice if they can add in parfaits as one of the choices. Service wise, decent and not overly pushy (like lurking around too much).

Oh and if you are thinking of phoning in for a reservation, forget about it.

It’s on first come, first seat basis.

Unless with special invitation, or so indicated on the back of a signage.

A tip to beat the serving queue, go in pairs and get stuff to share at one go.
But do remember, there’s a food wastage ‘fine’, at S$5.00 for 200gm.
