Since we didn’t have anything planned and didn’t want to join the insane crowds in town, DD and i headed over to Novena Sq for a walk and looking for some place quiet to dine. After walking around a little, we decided on this new cafe at Velocity, named Professor Brawn cafe.

Interesting designed cafe, cute menus and for a good cause, to help and create opportunities for the special needs community.
Service was great, with a smile and food recommendation… and the food… yummy

Yummy Cheesy Chicken Sausage & Rosti..

Generous portion and nicely done Pan seared Norwegian Salmon..

Interesting taste Carrot Cake..

Total damage for 2 set dinner with cake add-on, no more than S$40
Which supposedly include a drink and soup, didn’t take any (photos).

Overall, a nice dining experience and definitely heading back when there’s chance.
Still wanna try their striploin steak, squid ink pasta and ice-cream waffles

Headed down to the newest mall along Orchard Road, 313@Somerset, after seeing so many ads linked to it (eg. Uniqlo clothing ads and HMV).

Pretty simple layout, definitely not as confusing as Ion or Orchard Central and although not all the shops are opened / ready, they are all clearly indicated and within affordable range. Definitely my type of hang out place

And in case you are wondering which level is HMV (after moving from Heeren), it’s on the 4th floor…
Music range, isn’t as extensive as it used to be but it’s cozier now, including a game area to try out the Wii and PSP before one decide to make purchase.

And…

Finally had chance to try out Hand Burger, the new restaurant / food joint, that serves… burgers! *doh*

Since Chillycraps and I were at 313@Somerset, we met up with Nicole after her haircut and xmas shopping session and dropped by Hand Burger’s branch at B2. We ordered their Sliders set (afternoon tea set) aka the bite-size burgers.

Well, i love the concept (store layout), menu (interesting design) and food (yummy burgers!)!
Only thing i don’t get, is the heavy utensils (kinda too heavy, not suitable for clumsy old me) and it just doesn’t seem to cut right through the burger, even though it looks sharp.  But aside from that, i would like to try it again soon, esp. the regular size burgers and salads… *drools*

My Girlfriend is An Agent, the latest Korean movie.
Will be showing from 5th November 2009 (Next thurs).

The movie stars graced the Gala Premiere at The Cathay, with their appearance, doing a short interview and facing countless cameras. Didn’t really get a close look at them as we sat at the last row but it was nice of them to spend some time interacting with the fans and audience.

Not going to go in details on the story but overall, it’s pretty decent movie with quite a number of fighting scenes and funny moments.
And well, there was a slight technical difficulty, which jumbled up certain scenes and left me confused on what exactly happened in between.

The usual “Good always win” and typical dramatic but sweet Korean movie scenes.

Overall, it’s definitely watchable, funny and romantic in some sense.

Rating: 3.5/5

It kind of reminded me, of Mr & Mrs Smith, the 2005 movie.
