I was looking and drooling over it, a couple of months back, while trying to search for a lomo application for my SE Satio. I got it for 99sgd at Mustafa, thanks to CS forum ppl for sharing, a big 55% difference from April2010 price check (200+sgd).

Thankfully, the damage or cost for this toy, isn’t as bad as those L lens my friends bought (for their work). But i can mentally ‘hear’ or imagine someone (coughDDcough) nagging…

A digital holga, some calls it.
To me, it’s a good alternative to film-based holga, especially when i could see immediately how it’ll turn out than wait till it’s being processed. Lack patience…

Review from Chick Lit Review –> Here

Not really gonna go into details on this book, as the review link above had done so.

Skipped the first book and done with the second, like that it didn’t make me feel i missed out too much on the previous book.

Finally sat down to complete this book and surprisingly, it’s one of the few chick lit that got me thinking about past relationships and how we, in general, (in real life) handle arguments, breakups and jealousy.  Pretty interesting to read about such stuff from a chick lit written by a guy.

If you are looking for a light chick and logic triggering read, it’s worth a read

Not very complicated and probably just the usual plot.

Agent on mission, meet cute girl, saves her, recover stuff and falls in love… yada yada yada…

But strangely, it wasn’t… probably not way off but you’ll have to stick around to the end for who actually saves who. The lack of skin showing scenes and sexual contents in the film, makes it watchable for those with kids.

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, made a good looking couple and acting wise, decent. CGI, not much to pick on, too fast paced to pick on the details. But storyline / how the story progress… was pretty much predictable.

Well at least it’ll keep you wondering what they’ll say or suddenly do. Hmm, maybe some parts were snipped off during editing… Guess we’ll only know when the DVDs are out.

Plot wise, you can refer to Wikipedia.
Watchable, definitely easy on the eye (good looking actors) and less mind-fucking than Repo Men.

The cars were amazing too, sweet sweet GTO… *drool*

Giving it a 6.5/10.

As for the movie theater i was at, thanks to Dad’s membership tickets, simply excellent.

GV Gold Vivo, comfy reclining seats, blanket and good service…
And they fed us like pigs, eg. popcorns, martini m&ms, finger food and drinks.

The movie experience made the movie much more watchable. That’s one place i wouldn’t mind turning tubby and into a reclining chair potato. Would love to watch a movie marathon there soon

Similar to what the banks would do, if you fall behind your payments and are unable to clear your loans.

Personally rating it a 7/10 and it should be closer to R21.
Thoughts inducing, shockingly gruesome and bloody, in short.

Although still jittery from all that gruesomeness, truly enjoyed Jude Law & Forest’s acting.

Remy (Jude Law), works as a Repo tech with his best buddy, Jake.
Collecting or should i say, reclaim all body parts aka organs, their company (The Union) had ‘kindly’ sold to those who need one immediately without needing to be put on the organ transplant list, for a hefty but payable price with a monthly payment method.

For Remy, from a ‘it’s just business or work’ attitude, expertly surgically opening each of their clients (or bad debt clients) up, as a way of earning his commission… to losing that attitude, all in one accident. Which was rigged by Jake, all to keep him working on as a Repo and not a desk-bound sale staff.

Met the girl of his dreams and being with her, Remy felt the happiness, even though he was on the run.
Sending his co-workers and friends after him, causing everyone like him to die or get ‘repo’, set him to destroy the system.

Sale pitch was cheesy…

You owe it to your family. You owe it to yourself.

Something to think about…

At the end, a job is not just a job, is who you are, and if wanna change who you are, you have to change what you do…

I’m not sure if Jake felt guilty at all, for causing the accident.
But he did paid for Remy’s dream induced state, reminded me a little of Vanilla (the movie), to keep him happy and here. In a coma state. Is that the best thing to do, I don’t know.

I love how it make me wonder, what will i do if it happens to me or my love ones…
Would i take up the offer at such a high cost and with a count down timer for my life, be stuck in a system for whatever remaining of life i have or risk having someone surgically opening me up, without full GE and dying.

Hmm…

Luck was on my side, balloted and won tickets to catch A-Team, movie based on the 80s animated series.

Since it’s only showing at the cinema this coming Thursday (10th June 2010), there wouldn’t be any spoilers here.
Story / plot is pretty much on how the team was formed, got themselves involved in a mission which framed them and they had to clear their names.
