Random: Lunch by the beach & updates

Lunching by the beach with the fiancé, after an early morning at Suntec for Canon Photomarathon XII. Well… we aren’t here to snap photos for submitting, just wanted to relax and escape the crazy week, at least for a while. And… I feel the need to update on what’s happening with my blog… If you had seen the Exabytes standby page yesterday, it is due a switch on blog host… due to the following reasons. The US host server I was using messed up blog, 10 offline issues in 2 days and rolled back posts, deleting recent posts. That really got me pissed and well, my friend aka blog host admin is stopping his reseller service and advised I…

Photos: Korean BBQ for 1st Jan

Was tempted by friends’ morning photos of dim sum but craving for Korean BBQ too. So while driving by Link Hotel to aunt’s place, we spotted the Korean restaurant and decided to try the Blue Garden Korean BBQ buffet, on the first level. Photo: Mini Tic Tacs

Came across the mini tic tacs in a photo, on friend’s Facebook wall a couple of weeks back but I didn’t asked where he got them and promptly forgotten about it.   But i happened to see / end up finding it at a festive deco shop in The Verge (Along Little India) while getting some Christmas-y stuff. For 62 mini boxes of tic tacs at 20sgd, I’m glad I bought them. Not just as a Christmas gift add on but to take photos with my Lego mini figurines and eat them too 🙂

Photo: Kitkat from Japan

I love unique confectionary or snacks. That’s why uniquely designed and flavored KitKats from Japan are a ‘must-buy’ for me. Here are 6 of them I bought in various areas, from the recent trip: Rum & Raisins, Chili, Wasabi, Green Tea, Brown Tea, Cinnamon Cookie (not in order). And a bag of Strawberry Cheesecake Kitkat with Mt Fuji box (to be posted later). I’m just missing the Green Tea Sakura flavored Kitkat, didn’t quite like the taste, so I didn’t buy it. More goodies to share, once I finish unpacking 🙂

Photos: Tea Break at Narita Airport, Tokyo

Time to head home… It has been an interestingly fun and tiring trip, going through 2-3 cities in 10days. Will sure miss the cold weather, sights and food… Sigh. But it’s okay, will come back in couple of years time with the bf, hahah 🙂 Gonna dread the massive photos backlog. And here’s a photo while waiting to board JAL 711, bound for home / Singapore. Pasta set and Caprese on baguette: Good cafe food 🙂
