Thoughts: Setting up the Linksys AC1200 Max Wi-Fi Range Extender

For the longest time, after my HomePlug constantly overheated and died on me, any attempt to get stable Wi-Fi connection in my room had been taxing, annoying… and contributed to my heavy mobile data usage. After hearing me bitch share my pain with my Wi-Fi dead zone and setup woes, the kind people from Linksys, offered me their Wi-Fi Range Extender for testing / review. ***** The review unit: Linksys – RE6500 AC1200 Max Wi-Fi Range Extender Release year: 2014 ***** The steps I took (on my second attempt, cos silly me messed up the first by plugging it into the modem): Unboxed everything, screw in antennas and plug in the power plug. Find a spot that is in between modem (in living room)…

Watched The Leap Years on Leap Day

Who can resist not watching The Leap Years on February 29th? I, for one, certainly can’t. And so did all the audience in GV Cinema 5. To promise, is a big deal. To keep to it, takes determination. To keep a promise to meet on each leap year, same time same place… you’ll probably be categorized as insane. So did they have a ‘happily ever after’? I’ll leave it for you to find out. I’m not going to spoil it for you. Caught this show, cried and fell in love with it. The first local production which won me over. *salute the cast, crews and director* Even when i had to sit in the fourth row from the front. Time…

Review: Alvin & the Chipmunks movie

If you grew up watching Alvin & the Chipmunks on tv, you would be glad to know it’s still as cute as you remembered 🙂 I was lucky to receive a pair of gala premiere tickets, showing Alvin & the Chipmunks, at Vivocity. Thanks Wendy! The mascots were there, taking pictures with all the kids and kids at heart. Celebs like Zoe Tay and others, were there as well. With lucky bunch, who won tickets to the movie and media people. Summary of story (as so not to spoil it for all): – How Alvin, Simon & Theodore found / met Dave, who was the worst song writer ever – How Alvin, Simon & Theodore climb to fame and handle…

Review: Sony Ericsson Z750i

After weeks of insane nagging by mom (she hate my N6101), we finally got her a new phone from Starhub and it’s the Sony Ericsson Z750i. Z750i is the successor / newer model of Z610i. It’s a 2 megapixel phone and the first phone supporting new Java Platform 8, similar design to Z610, only visual difference is the keypad area. Keypad changes: – positioning of buttons (eg. ‘C’ button has been changed) – call and hang-up buttons – nicer and slicker buttons After the usual 10hrs battery charged, I gave it a run. Functions wise, seemed very much like the Z610i. From music, games, video mode, camera mode to test call… Everything functioned well, as expected from Sony Ericsson. A…
